eScience research in East Anglia. It is part of a national network connected through SuperJanet . It offers access to major supercomputer facilities, using a package of Grid software based on the Globus standard. It employs staff to give technical support, and provides a forum for users to exchange expertise.

Current projects include work on telemedicine, molecular informatics, electromagnetic scattering, cosmology, computational fluid dynamics, grid architecture, and particle physics. CeSC is also supporting the Cambridge Computational Biology Institute.

The talk will discuss how CeSC projects are addressing the generic challenges of distributed computing, data sharing and collaborative working, as well as plans to deploy a Campus Grid across Cambridge.
